Finish a necklace: strand and clasp
Join a beaded strip or pendant to a strand and clasp.
Find a pattern to finishSteps
- Measure. Hold the piece where it should sit and measure around the neck with a soft tape.
- Add a bail. For a pendant, stitch a strip of six to eight rows at the top and fold it back into a tube.
- String the strand. Use beading wire or strong thread and pass it through the bail or the end beads of the strip.
- Fix the clasp. Pass through a crimp and the clasp loop, back through the crimp, then flatten the crimp with pliers.
- Check it. Pull gently on each join, then trim the ends close.
